COURSE DESCRIPTIONS

COVID-19 Case Investigation (CI) Virtual Training

Participants will learn how to conduct a case investigation interview including determining the contact elicitation window, eliciting close contact information, providing recommendations and guidelines for isolation, and addressing common concerns persons with COVID-19 may experience during isolation. Foundational and enhanced interviewing skills will be reinforced and applied throughout the CI practice sessions.

Audience

This course is designed for persons who will be conducting COVID-19 case investigation activities in their designated jurisdictions.

Special Notes

This training is not recorded. It is a live, instructor-led training. Full attendance and active participation for all two days are required to obtain a certificate. Our trainings are offered by demand, so register only if you will attend.

PLEASE NOTE: All participants are expected to actively participate in no less than 95% of the course; therefore, you cannot miss more than 30 minutes (collectively) of the course to successfully complete the program.

 

COVID-19 Contact Tracing (CT) Virtual Training

Participants will learn how to conduct a contact tracing interview including notifying contacts of exposure, determining the quarantine period, providing information and recommendations for quarantine, and addressing common concerns exposed persons may experience during this time. Foundational and enhanced interviewing skills will be reinforced and applied throughout the CT practice sessions. 

Audience

This course is designed for persons who will be conducting COVID-19 contact tracing activities in their designated jurisdictions.

COVID-19 Leadership: Best Practices for Team Leads

Participants will learn how to enhance their comprehensive leadership skills of working with case investigators and contact tracers; support competent and sustainable COVID-19 services that address the diverse needs of jurisdictions; and support COVID-19 response activities and programming. 

Audience

This virtual skills-based course is designed for public health leaders who manage case investigators and contact tracers supporting COVID-19 programs.

  • Have knowledge of the 10 essential public health services and how they are integrated into COVID-19 Team Lead responsibilities

  • Apply COVID-19 Team Lead responsibilities to effectively manage your team

  • Discuss strategies and techniques for managing challenging situations effectively

  • Practice coaching and communication skills that empower team members. 

  • Apply effective leadership skills to guide COVID-19 case investigators and contact tracers.
